Country: England and France
City: London, Paris, Portsmouth, Salisbury and more...

Hi, my name is Jennifer Pelletier and I am 13 years old.

My parents asked my brother who is 15 years old and I if we would like to take a trip to England. I had never been there and my mom has relatives there that I had never met. So we planned our summer holiday to England. Mom and Dad went to this great travel company to get them to help us with all the planning. It was called “Let’s Take The Kids Travel”.  Here is our family adventure from this past summer.

My Adventure in Europe

My trip started on July 30th. We left Ottawa at 11:00 at night. We arrived in London, England at 11:00 am (London time). We saw Buckingham Palace, The British Museum, the Magna Carta, Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens and the Victoria and Albert Hall (fashion museum).

After London, we flew to Paris, France. In Paris we saw the Eiffel Tower, we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and saw Paris from above. Also in Paris we went to the Louvre museum and saw the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the winged Victory. We went on a bus tour of Paris also.

Next we flew back to London, England and drove to Portsmouth. In Portsmouth, we saw the HMS Warrior and the HMS Victory. Also we went to the Royal Navy submarine museum. My mom has relatives in Portsmouth, so we went and saw them too. After Portsmouth we drove to Salisbury. In Salisbury, we went and saw the Salisbury Cathedral.

After Salisbury we went and saw Stonehenge. Stonehenge was amazing. While we were driving closer to Stonehenge, we came over a hill and there was Stonehenge right in front of us with the sun low in the back of it.

After Stonehenge we went to a small town called Avebury. In Avebury there are many things to see. One thing is the stone circle that surrounds Avebury. After Avebury we drove to Stratford-Upon-Avon.

In Stratford we saw Warwick Castle. I found one part of Warwick Castle was amazing because there was wax figures that looked like real people. We saw the birth, death and burial place of Shakespeare. We saw Anne Hathaway’s cottage. We saw the Holy Trinity church.
