Enjoy great snowfalls in a skiing trip to the Aragon Pyrenees.
Found in the northeastern part of Spain, the Formigal Ski Resort has been receiving heavy snowfalls in the recent years, and it is expected to do so this coming winter season, when travelers are in for some good old fun skiing in the snow.
More than hundred kilometers of slopes await travelers in this huge and contemporary resort, which further offers four valleys and the biggest ski area in the country. Even Daily Mail UK Travel writer Martin Symington recommends checking out this area this winter (“Snow plus Tapas: The Formigal Formula for Affordable Skiing on the Slopes of Spain”).
Here’s an excerpt of his travel post:
Formigal is so keen to muscle in on the potentially huge British skiing market, that they are enticing us with some alluringly good deals… On our first morning we found that the runs of fine-ridged corduroy which unfurled over four valleys running north/south up to the border with France, to be eerily empty… Seb and Will worked this to their advantage: They grabbed a great-value bocadillo or a plate piled with hot paella at one of the base station cafeterias which were not yet busy at 1pm, then skied the emptying pistes from 2pm onwards.
